You have a wonderful knack for capturing subtle light... that last photo of the sky just caught my attention immediately, and I can hardly put my finger on why. It's just something I would not think to do. All of these have some really nice composition going on, uncluttered and fitting your theme of melancholia.
Thanks Mark! The last picture is actually of light reflecting off of Blue Vinyl. It reminded me of one of those gorgeous days, that doesn't make you feel any better.
Your photos are sparse and uncomplicated yet they clearly show your point of view. The abstracts are very strong, particularly image #6. The lone, black slip almost floating in air captures your chosen emotion. The only image that did not fit is Mr. Bill. It is too comedic and distracts from the body of the work.
